Adventure Zone at Shangri-la at The Fort

Sometime last March, John and I randomly decided to pop by the newly-opened Shangri-la at The Fort, and we got to check out Adventure Zone, the kids’ play area operated by Kerry Sports Manila.  I personally think that all family hotels should have at least one small room dedicated to a play area!

This is what the outer area looks like.  They have slides and a play gym for smaller kids.

There is also a an area for bigger kids, with a much longer slide.  You can’t really see how big the slide is in my photos, but they require kids to be in long sleeves as well as slip into a sack before going down the slide.

2Beyond the play gyms are themed play areas that the lady at the front desk described as “parang mini Kidzania.”  She asked if we would like to go in and have a look, but we were too tamad to stay too long + remove our shoes and put on socks.

Only members + their guests, and hotel guests + their guests, are allowed to enter Adventure Zone.  Guests pay P800/head to enter, and must be accompanied by a member or hotel guest at all times.

Adventure Zone membership is a super good deal!  P20,000/year for the first kid, P15,000/year for siblings.  So let’s say you enroll two kids, it comes out to only P1,458 per month per kid.  This includes unlimited access to the play areas, as well as free daily activities that your kids can participate in.  So much cheaper than most summer classes out there, right?  I was actually temped to get memberships for Jacob and Naomi, but it’s just too far from where we live!  I wish Kerry Sports would open at Edsa Shangri-la too.

Here are some of their free activities.

There are separate activities and time slots for toddlers and older kids.  They also have summer classes that members can enroll in for a fee.
