Team Parenting with Mamas & Papas

With a 6-year-old boy and an almost-2-year-old girl running around at home, I’m pretty sure my days of baby gear shopping are now behind me.  But just recently, I found myself having lunch at Duck & Buvette, for the Philippine launch of one of Great Britain’s top baby brands, Mamas & Papas.

IMG_9064The Mamas and Papas team thoughtfully prepared meatless appetizers and a lovely ratatouille for me.  Thanks Mamas and Papas!

The event opened with His Excellency Asif Ahmac, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Philippines.  I was expecting him to give the usual congratulatory remarks, but instead, Ambassador Ahmac talked candidly about how he was both a hands-on father and grandfather.  He shares how he was the first one to give his grandchild a bath, when his daughter was too scared to do so.  You gotta love a grandfather like this, right?

IMG_9060Ambassador Ahmac also spoke with pride about products made in the United Kingdom, and Mamas & Papas products in particular.  He shared that if something is made in the UK, especially if it’s a product geared towards children, you can be sure that the quality is topnotch, because the British take child safety issues very seriously.

My good friends Christine and Harvey Dychiao also shared about their “tandem” parenting strategy in raising their three kids.  They are also happy owners of a Mamas & Papas Armadillo stroller!

The Story of Mamas & Papas

When David and Luisa Scacchetti first became parents, they weren’t too happy with what they found when shopping for their baby.  But instead of complaining about it, they decided to go out and make their own baby gear.

In 1981, Mamas & Papas was born, and it was raised the way David and Luisa were raising their own children — with passion, commitment, a sense of purpose, and rock-solid standards.  The idea was to create inspiring products which were innovative, functional, and stylish, making life easier for parents just like them.

Today, Mamas & Papas continues to be a worthy partner in your parenting team, with a selection of premium baby gear and equipment designed by a dedicated team in the United Kingdom.

Check out some of Mamas & Papas baby gear displayed at the event.  You only have to see their strollers, touch them, and try out their features, to see that they are really premium in terms of quality, from the fabric used in their pushchairs, to the chassis and even the wheels.  Read to the end of this post to find out how you can win a Mamas & Papas Stroller for your little one!
