Weekend Snaps: Our Seda BGC Staycation

Over the recent long weekend, my family and I were invited to an overnight stay at Seda Hotel in BGC.  They generously provided two rooms for us, which means John and I had our own room, while the kids shared a room with the yayas.

IMG_0279Here’s what our rooms looked like.  We were booked in two deluxe rooms right beside each other.   Each room had a King-sized bed, and they also had an extra bed set up in the kids’ room.

IMG_0162IMG_0163Seda’s deluxe rooms are very spacious, as well as beautifully designed and furnished.  We were all sooo comfortable throughout our stay!  Bathrooms are small (no bath tubs) but very clean.

You can also opt for two twin beds instead of a King bed.

Apericena basically means “apertivo + dinner,” and has become quite popular in Italy.  Seda BGC now offers their own version of Apericena, where you can enjoy the delicious appetizer buffet for FREE with every order of any alcoholic beverage.  SUCH A GOOD DEAL! I shared more photos and details of Seda BGC’s Apericena in this post.

IMG_0242Too bad it was raining,we weren’t able to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous view.  Here’s what the open deck looks like on a clear night:

Back in our room, John and I played with the kids for a bit and gave them baths before tucking them into bed.  They weren’t able to nap in the afternoon, so they were knocked out by 8pm.  John snuck out for a light dinner (I wasn’t that hungry after Apericena) + a bit of shopping around High Street, and we were back in our room in no time.  Good night world!

IMG_0293The next day, as per usual, our kids were up and about by 6am.  John and I were hoping to sleep in a bit longer, but oh well!  At least we had breakfast buffet to look forward to.

IMG_0280The hotel serves breakfast at their in-house restaurant, Misto, but they thoughtfully set up a special buffet by the function rooms on the second floor for our group.

Here’s what one of my three breakfast plates looked like:

IMG_0380We let Jacob and Naomi choose their own food from the buffet.  They both ate so much!

IMG_0348Here are some of the other selections from the buffet:

IMG_0303After breakfast,  John and Jacob went swimming, while Naomi and I walked to High Street to chase birds and soak up some early morning sun.

Seda BGC’s main entrance is right across Serendra, and the back entrance is beside High Street, making it so easy for us to explore BGC on foot.  And when it comes to staycations, location is really important to me.

IMG_0480IMG_0432Then we headed back to the hotel, and Naomi said she wanted to go in the pool, too.

IMG_0559Jacob just learned how to swim last summer, and he’s shown so much progress!  John takes him swimming every weekend, and just recently signed him up with a coach.

IMG_0565Seda’s pool area is really small, and the depth of the water is at 4 feet, so it’s not really for serious swimmers.  It’s a good pool for kids who want to play in the water, or for adults who want to cool off a bit.  Naomi and I shared a lounge chair while waiting for John and Jacob to finish swimming.

IMG_0566After that, we all took showers, packed our bags and headed to our usual Sunday lunch with the family.  Thank you Seda BGC for our short but sweet family staycation!  We enjoyed every minute of it!
