My friend Michelle Aventajado is the brand ambassador of Viking Range Philippines. Just recently she invited the SoMoms to visit the Viking showroom in Alabang, where celebrity chef JP Anglo would be cooking up a special lunch for us.
Chef JP, aka Chef Jayps, did all of his cooking here, and we sat right by the counter.
And this is the second floor where they had two more model kitchens plus various appliances on display, such as the Microwave Oven, Undercounter Wine Chiller, and the biggest All Freezer All Refrigerator.
Chef Jayps is one of the most talked-about chefs in the Philippine dining scene these days, and he is the creative force behind Sarsa at BGC and Mall of Asia, and Kafe Batwan, which just opened in Rockwell. He also runs two restaurants in his hometown of Bacolod, and a shawarma stand at Century City’s Hole in the Wall.
Then this refreshing salad that Chef Jayps and his sous chef, Claudia, just put together with the fresh fruits and vegetables they had on hand.
I was surprised to be served this Chinese-looking pancit dish, which turned out to be the best pancit ever. So good! I have to find out if they serve this in Sarsa because I am totally craving this right now.
Mish baked her famous apple pie for dessert, at which point I told her I want to be just like her when we grow up. LOL. (She is so good at baking that I wouldn’t be surprised if she opens her own bake shop one day soon.)
Aside from Mish’s apple pie, Choco La Bella sent over their lychee cheesecake and homemade chocolates for us to try. They also have a full line of savory dishes for your catering needs. Check them out on Instagram @Chocolabella_Official or contact 0916-7029749 or 0917-5715082 to request for a full menu!
If you’re serious about cooking like Mish is, you should definitely consider investing in a Viking Range kitchen. It’s guaranteed to up the ante for home cooks! Here are some excerpts from the Viking Range brochure:
In the global arena, VIKING Range is consistently committed to innovative kitchen products of the highest quality. Majority of its product line is made in Greenwood, Mississippi, USA.
VIKING has continued its aggressive new product development initiatives and has expanded its product offerings to encompass the entire kitchen, both indoors and outdoors. In addition to its flagship freestanding ranges, the current VIKING product line includes ventilation, built-‐in range tops and cooktops, built-‐in ovens, warming drawers, dishwashers, trash compactors, refrigerators, freezers, wine cellars, and an entire line of outdoor products including grills, warming drawers, refrigeration and stainless steel cabinetry.
In the Philippines, all of the kitchen appliances are available from its indoor to outdoor range. An added bonus when purchasing VIKING Range in the Philippines is its quick and reliable customer service. If there are any concerns, a technician will quickly attend to the client within four office hours, and even go so far as to lend the client a replacement unit to use while their own unit is being repaired! So it’s not just first-class products, it’s first-class service too.
I had such a wonderful time at the Viking Lunch! Thank you so much Mish, Chef Jayps, and Viking Range!
