Today I’m excited to share my favorite new discovery from the second Gourmand Market… The Little Spatula ❤
Barbara and Noelle, the women behind The Little Spatula, describe themselves as “two friends baking guilt-free happy treats.”
John and I shared a pack of their Cocoanut Bliss Balls (P150/10 pieces) while walking around the market. We wiped them out in mere minutes! These goodies are vegan, paleo, grain-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free. Just knowing that these treats were made with a nutritious blend of nuts, shredded coconut, unsweetened cocoa, medjool dates, and nothing else — made it so easy for us to gobble them up without any guilt whatsoever.
Next we tried the Skinny Monkey Muffins (P350/6 pieces), which are 100% whole grain, low sugar, flourless, dairy-free, and butter-free. Barbara and Noelle make these with gluten-free rolled oats, unsweetened all-natural peanut butter, Belgian dark chocolate chips, and topped with a crunchy streusel. John and I both loved these.
I kept craving for The Little Spatula’s baked goods, so I ordered more just a few days later. These are the Midnight Sea Salt Brookies (P350/dozen), made with made with 100% whole wheat flour, evoo, premium unsweetened cocoa, coconut sugar, and Belgian dark chocolate chips. I didn’t love these, but they’re nice to have around for when you’re craving chocolate but don’t want to overindulge.Lastly, we got to try the Paleo Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf (P450), which turned out to be our absolute favorite of all! It is low-carb and low sugar, made with almond and coconut flour, Belgian dark chocolate chips, and sweetened with applesauce. Even our kids loved this. Sooooo good!
I brought some of my goodies to share at a family lunch, and found out that Noelle was my niece’s guidance counselor at ICA, my alma mater. And though this has absolutely nothing to do with their baked goods, it somehow makes me love them even more, haha.
